Are you looking for an adventure that takes you to the mountains and jungles of Puerto Vallarta to find a natural oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city? Then you must visit El Edén!
This charming place is located on the shores of the Mismaloya river, which flows into the famous beach of the same name. It’s an ideal place to immerse yourself in its refreshing waters and enjoy nature in its splendor. Additionally, El Edén is famous for having been a filming location for the movie "Predator," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in the late eighties. You can’t miss the opportunity to take a photo with the Predator!
El Edén offers two main areas to explore. The first is the restaurant area, where you can delight in delicious meals by the river. You also have the option to participate in an exciting canopy tour, sliding on zip lines between the trees. The other area is a space for renting tables and chairs, ideal for enjoying your own food and drinks. Access to this area has a cost per person.
Whether you choose the restaurant area or the table rental area, we guarantee a fun day exploring waterfalls, natural pools, and slides formed by the rocks. The journey from Puerto Vallarta to El Edén takes about an hour. You can get there in your own vehicle (an SUV or similar is recommended, especially during the rainy season) or hire a tour that takes you there. If you decide to go on your own, you should head south until you reach Mismaloya and then go up a dirt road to El Edén.
To fully enjoy your visit, we recommend bringing mosquito repellent, food and drinks if you opt for the table rental area, and of course, your swimsuit. Also, keep in mind that El Edén is open only from 9 am to 6 pm. Come and discover this hidden paradise in Puerto Vallarta!
